Honoring Traditions

Welcome to the Tunku Kurshiah International Arts Festival 2025!

By integrating elements of ethnic traditions with contemporary creativity, the festival inspires unity and pride while fostering leadership and global awareness among youth.

Preserving Legacy

Celebrating the Richness of Art

Art is an aspect of culture that reflects the ethnic diversity of the Malay Archipelago. The Nusantara arts featured in this festival encompass dance and visual arts. Traditional dance represents the identity of each ethnic group, expressed through rhythmic body movements to convey emotions, meanings, and thoughts. Meanwhile, visual arts in the Malay world are evident in weaving, embroidery, basketry, carving, batik painting, and other crafts closely associated with

Nusantara culture. Today, traditional dance is no longer solely for religious ceremonies but also for entertainment at events. Visual arts also receive less public attention. Both art forms can be presented and exhibited to foster unity and cultural exchange while attracting interest in cultural heritage. We hope this festival can revive Nusantara culture, ensuring it endures through generations and is cherished by participants.
